1. What is the minimum capital required to run Drago Gold Sentinel? We recommend a minimum balance of $500 for a standard account using a conservative risk profile (e.g., 1% to 2% risk per trade). If you are starting with a smaller balance, such as $100, we strongly advise using a Micro or Cent account to allow the recovery layering system enough margin to operate safely.

2. Which currency pair and timeframe does the EA trade? Drago Gold Sentinel is exclusively optimized for XAUUSD (Gold). Because the algorithm relies on specific server time windows to calculate the daily accumulation range, you must attach the EA to the M1 (1-Minute) chart. The internal logic automatically handles the higher timeframe calculations.

3. Do I need a Virtual Private Server (VPS)? Yes. To ensure the algorithm never misses a breakout momentum and can actively manage trailing stops and recovery layers, your MetaTrader 5 terminal must remain online 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Running the EA on a reliable VPS with low latency to your broker’s server is strictly required.

4. What type of broker do you recommend? We highly recommend an ECN, STP, or Raw Spread broker. The Drago Gold Sentinel strategy relies on precise breakout execution, meaning tight spreads and low slippage are crucial. Ensure your broker allows algorithmic trading and hedging.

5. Does Drago Gold Sentinel use Martingale or Grid strategies? No, it does not use aggressive Martingale or infinite Grid systems. The EA executes 1 primary breakout trade per day based on institutional momentum. If the market reverses, it utilizes a highly controlled Recovery Layering system capped at a maximum of 3 additional trades. Once the daily cycle is over, or the profit/layer target is hit, the EA locks the system until the next trading day to protect your equity.

6. Is this for MetaTrader 4 (MT4) or MetaTrader 5 (MT5)? Currently, Drago Gold Sentinel is coded and optimized exclusively for MetaTrader 5 (MT5), taking advantage of its superior backtesting capabilities, faster execution speeds, and advanced algorithmic processing.

7. How many trading accounts can I use my license on? A standard lifetime license is bound to one (1) live MetaTrader 5 account number. You can change or transfer this account number by contacting our support team if you decide to switch brokers or open a new account.

8. Can I backtest the EA before running it live? Absolutely. We encourage all users to backtest Drago Gold Sentinel using the MT5 Strategy Tester. For the most accurate results, ensure you select “Every tick based on real ticks” and test it specifically on XAUUSD.

9. Will the EA work around major news events (NFP, CPI)? Yes, the EA includes a built-in Max Spread Filter. During major high-impact news releases, brokers typically widen their spreads significantly. If the spread exceeds the safety threshold you set in the parameters, the EA will automatically block new entries to protect your account from severe slippage.

10. How do I install the EA? Upon purchase, you will receive a downloadable .ex5 file. Simply open your MT5 terminal, click File > Open Data Folder, navigate to MQL5 > Experts, and paste the file there. Refresh your Navigator panel, drag the EA onto an XAUUSD M1 chart, ensure “Allow Algo Trading” is checked, and load the provided .set file for optimal settings.
